Meir, founder of FoodShop

Hi, I'm Meir.

I built FoodShop because I kept hearing the same story from home bakers.

They loved the baking. They didn't love the rest of it - pricing was a guess, labels were a panic on the morning of a market, and many were running a real business out of spreadsheets, notes apps, and screenshots in DMs - on Tuesday nights, after work, after the kids were down.

The tools they'd tried felt too complicated, too generic, or built for businesses much bigger than theirs.

So I decided to build something different.

FoodShop is designed for one specific kind of person - the home baker and small food maker - not "everyone." You paste in a recipe, and FoodShop does the rest: prices it, labels it for your state, and turns it into something you'd be proud to sell.

Before it reached its current form, FoodShop was tested and refined with nearly 100 home bakers. Their feedback shaped almost every part of it - the recipe flow, the pricing, the labels, the storefront, and the ordering.

I've spent more than 25 years building software, but FoodShop is the first thing I've built entirely around the needs of home bakers.

Every feature has to earn its place. Every screen has to be obvious. Every word has to make sense to someone who's never used a tool like this before. I'd rather make one thing genuinely simple than ten things sort-of-okay.

FoodShop is still a small product, and that's on purpose.

I answer my own emails. I take calls with bakers most weeks. If you have a question, need help, or think something should work differently, there's a good chance you'll end up talking directly to me. No giant support team, no endless ticket queues - just a real person who cares about making it better.

I know trust matters when you're choosing where to run your orders, and I take that responsibility seriously.

It's built to last. As a thing that's actually useful to the people who use it.

That's the whole goal. If it sounds like the kind of place you'd want to set up your bakery, I'd love to help you get started.
